This whole episode I'm basically screaming 'just break apart the ship Luffy!!!' I mean it seems like the obvious solution right?! Or else just wrap his arms multiple times around Enru and then pound away when Enru is immobilized.

One thing that I think Enru really didn't consider though is that he assumed that on the Blue Sea he'll also be top dog, but really after meeting Luffy, he should have reconsidered immediately. Rubber is not an uncommon material down on the ground! Even if there aren't other rubber people, people can most definitely create suits made of rubber that are non-conductive with which to fight him.

A little plot hole here, luffy shouldn't be able to defeat Enel since his attacks should be just passing through Enel's body and Luffy still doesn't have Haki. Enel is stupid for letting Luffy hit him.

His body won't auto-transparent if it's a rubber person who hits him. Unless he uses his mantra and dodges the attack. The same principle with Crocodile's weakness, with water he can't be transparent to physical damage
